| In nearly all automation applications, some form of rotating motion is required. In the B•A•S•E® ROBOTIC SYSTEM, rotation takes the form of wrist motion shown in Figure 4. Wrist rotators are well suited for combining with other motion components and serve well for many production processes involving a tilt of 90 deg. or a flip of 180 deg. B•A•S•E® ROTATORS are vane type with a choice of 90 deg. or 180 deg. rotation in pitch, roll and yaw. Adjustable stops provide close control over angular positions at zero deg. and end of rotation. Stopping at various intermediate angles is not practical. Flow control valves are supplied and serve well for speed and shock control in addition to dampening torque from over-running loads. |
